British owned and run Pharaoh Dive Club has an unsurpassed reputation for friendly helpful staff

winning formula. There is a distinct no problem attitude and nothing is too much trouble for the
Roots Luxury Camp is a small friendly resort aimed at divers who want a quiet, peaceful, relaxed
atmosphere but with the convience of having the small traditional town of El Quseir on its doorstep.
The title camp should not be taken too literally, it relates more to the location than the outstanding
accomodations with modern facilities normally associated with 4 star hotels.
Known as the ‘Jewel of the Red Sea’ El Quseir has the reputation of providing the very best shore
based diving in the Egyptian Red Sea. Diving around El Quseir is extremely varied with numerous
prisitine coral gardens, challenging wall dives, off shore ergs, sea grass meadows and extensive
There is something for every diver with options for shore diving, zodiak diving and hard boat diving,
there are even opportunities to take excursions to visit world renown sites such as Elphinstone,
Salem Express and Abu Dabab.
Why Pharaoh Dive Club?
Steve and Clare have lived and dived the Red Sea since 1990 when Sharm was still a unknown
destination, they have worked in Jordan, Taba, Dahab, Sharm and the Eastern desert coast, there
experience of the Red Sea is second to none. They know what they want from diving the Red Sea
and unfailingly deliver the same to all their guests.
When they established Pharaoh Dive Club 5 years ago they had the choice of any location around
the region, they chose El Quseir simply because it offered the best land based diving with the added
bonus of the undeveloped town El Quseir like the old days of Sharm.
It certainly wasn’t for commercial reasons as El Quseir at that time was completely unknown on the
divers map, it was considered part of Marsa Alam. 5 years on the secret is out and the divers are
adding El Quseir to their bucket list.
The key to the success of Pharaoh Dive Club is the staff, all guides are certified instructors with vast
experience. They are keen to provide all the support you want but are respectful to your experience
giving you the space you want to take care of yourselves.
As a 5* PADI Instructor Development Centre they offer a wide range of PADI diving courses from
basic to instructor level and even for juniors.
